Los Haitises National Park starting from the port of Saman\u00e1 plus a wonderful lunch and swimming in natural springs at Ca\u00f1o Hondo Ecolodge. Come with us and visit the most beautiful national park in the Dominican Republic, visiting mangroves, caves and San Lorenzo Bay, as well as crossing the beautiful Saman\u00e1 Bay. After having lunch in Ca\u00f1o Hondo, you will have the opportunity to swim in the natural pools for a few hours and then return to the port of Saman\u00e1.<\/p>\n

        Starting from the port of Saman\u00e1 aboard a boat or catamaran with a local tour guide, we pass the bay of Saman\u00e1 next to Sabana de la Mar to visit one of the most beautiful national parks in the Dominican Republic.<\/p>\n

        Visiting the island with birds around. In the nesting season, we can even see pelican chicks in the nests. Go deeper into the rocky islands and visit the caves with pictographs and petroglyphs of the indigenous people.<\/p>\n

        The caves in the reserve were used as shelter by the Ta\u00edno Indians and, later, by hidden pirates. Look for drawings of Indians decorating some of the walls.<\/p>\n

        After visiting the Los Haitises National Park we will go to Cano Hondo. In Cano Hondo you will learn about this ecological history and have lunch time with the typical food of the Sabana de la mar community.<\/p>\n

        Lunch will be delicious but we're not done yet. After lunch, we will swim in the natural pools from the Jibales River, a river to the Ca\u00f1o Hondo River. Staying in Ca\u00f1o Hondo until 4:00 pm and returning to the port of Saman\u00e1, we will pass through the mangroves again and arrive at the open bay of San Lorenzo, from where you can photograph the rugged forest landscape. Look out into the water to see manatees, crustaceans and dolphins.<\/p>\n

        Until the moment you will settle with the tour guide and after this go to the port of Cano Hondo and take a boat back to the port of Saman\u00e1 passing the bay of Saman\u00e1 30 minutes.<\/p>\n
