The lowest price to visit Los Haitises National Park from Sabana de la Mar or Caño Hondo hotels with Local guides. The trip begins at the main port of Los Haitises National Park. This trip begins at 10:00 am with a local tour guide who knows the original story about the magnificent National Park.

Then we start from the main port of Los Haitises National Park, called Caño Hondo (Deep Creek) in a BOAT with life jackets. We will enjoy the red mangrove forest until we reach San Lorenzo Bay. Small bay in Samaná Bay. And here we go! The first thing you can see is the collection of a huge limestone mountain island called Mogotes. Above them more than 700 species of plants and many wetland birds flying around. Later visiting caves with pictographs of our indigenous communities 750 years ago.

Through the mangroves and land in the open San Lorenzo Bay, from where you can photograph the rugged forest landscape. Look out into the water to see manatees, crustaceans and dolphins.

The name of the national park comes from its original inhabitants, the Taino Indians. In their language, “Haitises” translates to highlands or hills, a reference to the steep limestone geological formations of the coast. Venture into the park to explore caves such as Cueva de la Arena and Cueva de la Línea. The caves in the reserve were used as shelter by the Taíno Indians and, later, by hidden pirates. Look for drawings of Indians decorating some of the walls. After visiting Los Haitises National Park, we will return to the port where our trip began.

Hotel pickup is offered if you are located at Paraiso Caño Hondo or Altos Caño Hondo Hotel. Our meeting point is a 5-minute walk from those hotels.

Note- If you book within 24 hours of the tour/excursion departure time, we can arrange hotel pickup with additional charges if you are not at the Caño Hondo hotels. Once your purchase is complete, we will send you complete contact information (phone number, email address, etc.) for our local tour guide to arrange pickup arrangements.
