What to expect?

Get your tickets to visit Los Haitises National Park with a wonderful lunch at Caño Hondo and swimming in the natural springs. Take a boat tour through the mangroves, ancient pirate caves and protected forests of this picturesque reserve, from the Caño Hondo hotel area or from Sabana de la Mar.

El recorrido, organizado por «Booking Adventures», comienza en el punto de encuentro establecido con el guía turístico. Ven con Booking Adventures y comienza a observar algunos manglares llenos de pájaros, colinas onduladas de exuberante vegetación y cuevas del Parque Nacional Los Haitises. Excursión en bote desde el río Caño Hondo, Sabana de la Mar.

Through the mangroves and land in the open San Lorenzo Bay, from where you can photograph the rugged forest landscape. Look out into the water to see manatees, crustaceans and dolphins.

El nombre del parque nacional proviene de sus habitantes originales, los indios taínos. En su idioma, «Haitises» se traduce en tierras altas o colinas, una referencia a las empinadas formaciones geológicas de la costa con calizas. Aventúrate más en el parque para explorar cuevas como la Cueva de la Arena y la Cueva de la línea. Las cuevas en la reserva fueron utilizadas como refugio por los indios taínos y, más tarde, por los piratas escondidos. Busque dibujos de indios que decoran algunas de las paredes. Después de visitar el Parque Nacional Los Haitises iremos a Caño Hondo. En Caño Hondo aprendiendo sobre esta historia de ecolodge y la hora del almuerzo con la comida típica de la comunidad de Sabana de la Mar.

Lunch will be delicious but we're not done yet. After lunch, we will swim in the natural spring from the Jibales River, a perennial river to the Caño Hondo River. Stay in Caño Hondo until 6:00 pm if you wish or less.

In the Nature Pools you can stay as long as you want to swim and hike. If you are vegan, we can also prepare some food for you.
